Our story

Our Story

Hi! My name is Natalie, I am the youngest four kids. My parents bought our farm in 1988 and this is our story.

Some of my earliest memories are in my mom’s green house (see picture below). She grew and sold whole sale herbs to local nurseries for several years and was very good at it! Although my mom closed her business she continued to grow and of course have a flock of chickens.

I graduated at NMSU in 2019 and I always knew I wanted to own my own business and create something beautiful! Out of it, came Valley Farms New Mexico a dream my mom and I made reality.

Growing has taken loads of hard work but has been worth every minute and is truly a labor of love. We are proud to sell flowers that are locally grown on our family farm. They are artfully arranged for deliveries in Las Cruces and El Paso and at your local farmers market.

1991 our fist Green house built by Dad and Grandpa. It grew 3x that size that same year.

Our Farm

At Valley Farms we put a lot of thought, love and care into what we sell. We take the extra step to ensure quality. We feed our chickens a well rounded diet that consist of greens and grains. Our chickens are pasture-raised which means they roam freely from sun up to sun down. Doing this makes for a happier hen and a better egg. Our soils are fertilized with organic matter that is primarily sourced from our farm or other local farms. During our growing season lasting May-November, you can expect to see staples like sunflowers, zinnias, and cosmos, while expanding varieties to create the most diverse, thriving, and gorgeous blooms we can!
